Legal Staffing Experts is looking for a legal contract engineer for its client, an international bank. The assignment runs from 15/6/2023-31/12/2023 (possibly extendable). 50% office, 50% remote (office is easily accessible by public transport). Full-time.
Your role: The contract engineer is taking up an expert role in respect of the contracting and legal negotiations with suppliers.
The contract engineer supports all buyers and businesses in making contracts following the Clients guidelines and policies.
The role consists of the following main activities:
To propose the most suitable contracts from a contract toolbox
To customize these contracts where needed;
To support the buyers and business representatives in revising the contracts
To analyze the legal risks of contracts and to support the negotiations from a legal point of view;
To (help) draft the final agreements between the Client and the suppliers;
To ensure compliancy with all external and internal legislation and requirements;
To initiate continuous improvement of relevant know-how and processes by sharing knowledge towards the team of Contract Engineers
Your profile:
Master in Law
At least 5 years of legal experience
In review and negotiation of contracts (sell and/or purchase)
Experience in a procurement environment
Preferable: experience in advising companies on both vendor and buyer’s sides
Strong written and spoken communication skills in Dutch and/or French and English
